This site touches a subject — what a fixture was made of — that sits next to a much more sensitive one, so the first thing to say is what we do not hold.

Briefly

Reading the whole site and never telephoning leaves us knowing nothing about you: there is no form, no account and no capture of any kind. A call carries a ZIP code, what the faucet is doing, and the number it came from.

FaucetMend is a referral service, not a contractor. We connect homeowners with independent contractors. Contractors are required to hold whatever credential their state or municipality demands. We carry out no work, we sell no fixtures, we do not set prices, and we never charge homeowners anything — the contractors in our network pay us when we route them a call. Nothing here is a statement about the water at any address; only a test of that water can tell you about it.

We hold nothing about anybody’s water

We do not test water. We do not receive laboratory results, we have nowhere to store one, and we would not want a copy. If you have had a test done, those results are yours and they stay with you.

We also hold no record of what fixtures are installed at any address, no property records and no register of who called about what.

What the call records

A ZIP code and what the faucet is doing, so the call can reach a contractor who covers your area. Your number arrives because you dialed, along with the time and length of the call.

We do not ask for your name and there is no form on this site to put one into. Reading every page here without calling is possible and we will not know you did it.

Onward from there

To the contractor who answers, because they cannot arrive with the right cartridge for a faucet they have not heard described. That is the end of it.

We do not sell contact details, we do not build lists, and nothing from a call goes to anybody selling water treatment equipment or anything else.

The pages themselves

Static files. No advertising cookies, no third-party tracking scripts, nothing recording which pages you read. Reading the page about lead-free rules does not mark you as anything.

Erasing what a call left

Write to [email protected] with the number you called from and ask. It is the only thing the record is filed under, which is the other side of never having asked your name.

Know the maker? Say so on the call.Cartridges are specific to a manufacturer, and the name on the handle is frequently the difference between one visit and two. We route you to a contractor covering your area, chosen on the ZIP code you give, free of charge to you. Faucets are simply our subject; the number itself handles any plumbing request.
